Modi calls Nawaz to offer assistancePrime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday had a telephonic conversation with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, who offered assistance for relief activities in the quake-hit areas.

According to a statement issued by the PM House here, Prime Minister Nawaz – who is in London after completing his official four-day visit to the United States – received a phone call from Modi who expressed grief over the loss of lives and offered assistance for relief activities in the quake-hit areas.

Pakistan was struck by a powerful 8.1-magnitude on Monday that resulted in more than hundred deaths and injured at least 1,220 others. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took the worst impact of the quake that damaged most parts of the disaster-prone province.
